Detailed breakdown of services provided:
Your own website name:
For example: nameofrestaurant.com or any name that is available. You choose what your website name will be. Please realize that it's better to get a name sooner than later. The internet is growing rapidly. The name that you choose will identify you online.
Your own website:
I professionally scan your paper menu and digitally enhance it for legibility and printing. I make multiple scans at 300 dots per inch and then resize the images to fit standard screen resolutions. I then enhance the images by adjusting contrast, brightness, color, RGB input output levels, hue, and saturation. I staighten columns and then sharpen to finalize the image. I code in XHTML and Javascript. Your website is exactly what your customers want. They want to see your menu so they can call for delivery.
A top-rated hosting service:
A host is the computer where your website is stored. I use BlueHost's HostMonster and guarantee 99.9% uptime. This is the best guarantee on the planet. I upload your menu pages using secure ftp to a commercial server and maintain backup copies on my personal computer.
Link submission:
Links are one of the reasons why having a menu website is so great. In Baltimore, there are over 50 sites that reference restaurants. For restaurants that do not have a website, they only list the restaurant's address. I will add your website link so that, when people find your restaurant on one of these directories, they will be able to click on your website link and see your menu. Many of these sites require registration, usernames and passwords in order to add information. I already have accounts with directories in the Baltimore area. If your business is not in the Baltimore area, I will research your local links and add your information to your local directories.
Site summary and keywords:
In order for searches to be successful, your site needs to contain keywords. Keyword analysis software is used to choose the best keywords. This software provides live data showing how many times per day each keyword is used in a search as well as how many competing sites use that keyword. Since scanning produces a picture only, I manually code the site summary and keywords related to your menu. Keyword selection is an important step in search engine optimization.
Cost:
$200 for one year. If you change your menu and want to change your website, there is a $40 update fee.
Option 2: Website name with redirect to menu already online:
Website Redirect:
I also offer a unique service for owners who already have a menu online. The best way to explain this is with an example. There are 4 major online ordering services in Baltimore (Foodler.com, CampusFood.com, Delivery.com and FetchFood.com). There are also other services that allow you to put your menu online in a directory. Let's say you already use or would like to use one of these services. Great! Now your menu is online but how do people find it? How do you tell people where it is? You cannot. You have to rely on those services to advertise for you. That is what they want you to do but you do not have to be restricted to this service. You can purchase a doman name from me and I will host it on a page that redirects to their page. In this way, you can advertise the name as though it were your website. When customers type 'yourrestaurant.com', they will see your menu on the service you use.
Cost for Option 2:
$50 per domain name per year.
